These Poe Creator Monetization Terms of Service (“Monetization Terms”) set forth the terms and conditions of your participation in the Poe Creator Monetization Program (“Creator Monetization Program”). By participating in the Creator Monetization Program, you consent to these Monetization Terms.
Use of Poe is also subject to the Quora Terms of Service, Poe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Terms of Service”), as applicable, and our Privacy Policy. All capitalized terms in these Monetization Terms have the same meaning as set forth in the Terms of Service, except as otherwise noted.
Please read these Monetization Terms carefully. If you do not agree with or accept any part of these Monetization Terms, you should not sign up for the Creator Monetization Program.
IMPORTANT ARBITRATION NOTICE: IF YOU ARE IN THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA, YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND QUORA WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. WE EXPLAIN SOME EXCEPTIONS AND HOW YOU CAN OPT OUT OF ARBITRATION IN SECTION 10 OF THE QUORA TERMS OF SERVICE.
1. Creator Monetization Program.

In order to participate in the Creator Monetization Program, you must:

3.1 Poe Monetization Programs. Currently available programs in the Creator Monetization Program are described here. We may update them from time to time. For clarity, apart from the earnings described in the applicable program, Quora reserves the right to retain all other revenues derived from Poe.
3.2 Poe Creator Revenue Share. “Poe Creator Monetization Program” is a program where bot creators can receive revenue share payments. There are two ways to earn:

3.3 Other Programs. From time to time, we may run other programs that provide you the opportunity to earn additional or alternative revenue through Poe. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify all or part of these other programs at any time. Your participation in any other program will be subject to your agreement to any terms, rules or policies that we may require you to agree to in order to participate in such program (“Other Program Rules”). If there is a conflict between these Monetization Terms, the Terms of Service or the Other Program Rules, the Other Program Rules will take precedence with respect to your participation in such programs.
3.4 Special limitation for Quora employees and contractors. The potential earnings will be limited for Quora employees and contractors, but not for other participants, to a maximum of $200 U.S. dollars (or its equivalent in local currency) per month.
4. Payments.
Revenue you may earn under the Creator Monetization Program are calculated based on our tracking mechanisms. You can see the estimated amount you are earning in your account settings. Estimates may differ from earnings paid out under the program, as earnings paid may be adjusted for refunds or chargebacks, taxes, or fraud. Actual earnings will be reflected in your payout reports from the Payment Agent. Payments from the Poe Creator Monetization Program will come from Quora, Inc.
Quora will pay you via the Payment Agent, for any amounts earned in a given month as described in Section 3, within 30–45 days of the end of the applicable month.
You acknowledge and agree that funds may take up to 10 days to process. “Payment Agent” means Quora’s payment agent, which is currently Stripe, Inc., and which may be changed by Quora from time to time upon notice to you.
Earned balances less than $10.00 U.S. dollars (or its equivalent in local currency) will be rolled over to the next month. If any excess payment has been made to you for any reason whatsoever, we reserve the right to adjust or offset the same against any subsequent amount payable to you under the Monetization Terms.
You are not entitled to earn or receive any amounts in connection with Your Bot or your participation in the Creator Monetization Program if: (i) you violate these Monetization Terms or the Terms of Service, including any of our policies, including the conditions set forth in Section 2 above, (ii) we, in our sole discretion, determine that there is fraudulent activity or any inauthentic engagement or coordinated activity with Your Bot related to your earnings under the Creator Monetization Program; or (iii) your participation in the Creator Monetization Program is suspended or terminated pursuant to Section 5 below.
In order to receive any payments in the Creator Monetization Program, you must create an account with the Payment Agent and ensure such account is able to accept payments within 90 calendar days of accepting our Monetization Terms and joining the program. If your account with the Payment Agent later becomes unable to accept payments, you must correct any issues with your account within 90 calendar days. If you fail to create or maintain an account with the Payment Agent that is able to accept payments, then you forfeit any existing program earnings and will not accumulate new earnings until you have an account that is able to accept payments. If you have already created an account with the Payment Agent to participate in a Quora Earnings Program, then we will use that account for payments. You are responsible for maintaining the security and accuracy of your account information with Quora and with the Payment Agent.
Payments processed through the Payment Agent are subject to fees charged by the Payment Agent. By agreeing to these Monetization Terms, you agree to be bound by the Payment Agent’s applicable terms, as may be modified by the Payment Agent from time to time.
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes in connection with any revenue you may earn from your participation in the Creator Monetization Program. You agree to cooperate with Quora and provide additional information about yourself in order to receive payments from Quora and so Quora can comply with applicable laws.
5. Termination.
You may discontinue your participation in the Creator Monetization Program at any time by submitting a request here.
Quora may terminate your participation in the Creator Monetization Program if (a) you violate these Monetization Terms or the Terms of Service, including any of our policies, (b) we, in our sole discretion, determine that there is fraudulent activity or any inauthentic engagement or coordinated activity with Your Bot related to your earnings under the Creator Monetization Program, (c) if you or Your Bot become involved in a situation which could create legal or reputational harm to us, Poe, our partners or our users, or (d) without cause for any reason. Quora will use reasonable efforts to notify you if any of these circumstances should occur.
We reserve the right to discontinue or modify all or part of the Creator Monetization Program at any time, including our discontinuation of the Creator Monetization Program.
In the event of discontinuation or termination of your participation in the Creator Monetization Program: the Terms of Service will continue to apply to your use of the Quora Platform; you will be paid any amounts equal to or greater than $10.00 U.S. dollars (or its equivalent in local currency) accrued prior to the expiration or termination of these Monetization Terms. If Quora determines you have committed fraud, you have accrued less than $10.00 U.S. dollars (or its equivalent in local currency), or you do not have a valid account with the Payment Agent, then you will forfeit any amounts earned up to the date of termination and not yet paid to you. Payment under this section will be made to you within 30 days of notice of termination by either you or us.
Sections 4 through 10 will survive expiration or termination of these Monetization Terms.
6. Privacy and Communications.
These Monetization Terms are subject to our Privacy Policy.
By participating in the Creator Monetization Program, you consent to receiving email communications from Quora about the Creator Monetization Program to your registered email address or other methods. If you no longer want to receive communications from Quora, you can change your communication preferences in your Quora account settings.
You agree that we may communicate with you electronically about any important information regarding the Creator Monetization Program. We may also provide notices to you by posting them on our website or by sending them to an email address that you previously provided to us. Website and email notices will be considered received by you within 24 hours of the time posted or sent.
Unless stated otherwise, you must send notices to us relating to these Monetization Terms to: [email protected].
7. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
IN ADDITION TO THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE:
THE CREATOR MONETIZATION PROGRAM MAY CONTAIN ERRORS. IN ADDITION TO THE DISCLAIMERS IN THE PLATFORM TERMS, YOU AGREE THAT THE Creator Monetization Program IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY, SUSPEND, TERMINATE YOUR ACCESS TO, OR DISCONTINUE THE CREATOR MONETIZATION PROGRAM (OR ANY PORTION THEREOF) AT ANY TIME. WE ARE NOT LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY SUCH MODIFICATION, SUSPENSION, OR TERMINATION; NOR FOR ANY ACTIONS YOU MAY TAKE BASED UPON YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR RELIANCE ON ANY AMOUNT YOU MAY RECEIVE FROM THE CREATOR MONETIZATION PROGRAM.
8. Indemnification.
In addition to the indemnification obligations in the Terms of Service, you will indemnify and hold us harmless for any claim, cost, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and investigative costs) arising from: (a) any act (or omission) that is a violation of the Terms of Service, these Monetization Terms or our policies; (b) your failure to remit any taxes owed to an applicable governmental authority; (c) Your Bot, or (d) your access to or use of our services.
9. Independent Contractors.
Quora and you are independent contractors, and nothing contained in these Monetization Terms will be construed to constitute Quora and you as partners, joint venturers, co-owners or otherwise as participants in a joint or common undertaking.
10. General Legal Terms.
You may not assign, sublicense, or delegate any of your rights or obligations under the Terms (including any sale, license, or other transfer of ownership of Your Bot) to any third party without our prior written consent. Any assignment, sublicense, or delegation in violation of this provision is null and void. Any change of control or material ownership of you is hereby deemed an assignment. These Terms are non-exclusive. You acknowledge that Quora may develop products or services that may compete with, or are similar to, Your Bots or any other products or services.
These Monetization Terms constitute the entire agreement about your participation in any Creator Monetization Program and supersede any other agreement, oral or written, about this subject matter, except for any prior agreement by you to the Terms of Service. If any provision in these Monetization Terms is found to be unenforceable, then that provision will not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions of the Agreement, which will remain in full force and effect. If there is a conflict between the Terms of Service and these Monetization Terms, the Monetization Terms will govern your participation in the Creator Monetization Program.
You may not modify these Monetization Terms without written agreement from us.
We may modify these Monetization Terms, including the Terms of Service, at any time. Unless otherwise required by law, if we amend material terms to these Monetization Terms, we will notify you via the email address provided by you in your account to give you an opportunity to review any material changes to these Monetization Terms before they go into effect.
Your continued participation in the Creator Monetization Program after non-material changes, or after notice to you of any material changes to the Monetization Terms, constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the amendments or to any of the terms in these Monetization Terms, your only remedy is to cease participation in the Creator Monetization Program.
