I'm in charge of admissions and need to create a super hard, 10 step admissions process for 5-8th graders that most parents think is impossible for their kid. I'm trying to filter for ambitious and hard working kids and show parents that their kid is limitless if properly motivated. Can you help me come up with the 10 steps?

Here is a draft of a challenging 10 step admissions process for an eSports academy aimed at 5th-8th graders:

  1. Submit a 2-minute video explaining why you should be admitted. Highlight your grit, passion for gaming, and academic ambitions.

  2. Complete a weekly training log showing your dedication through daily gaming, physical exercise, reading, and study time over a 6 week period.

  3. Obtain academic recommendations from your last 2 years of teachers speaking to your motivation and academic potential.

  4. Interview with our coaches on problem-solving and critical thinking. Be ready to break down your gaming strategies and tactics.

  5. Take an academic assessment on math, reading, writing, logic, and pattern recognition. Show us your academic strengths.

  6. Give a 5-minute presentation on a game, level, or character you've mastered and why. Explain your process.

  7. Complete a teamwork challenge at one of our gaming labs with other applicants. Staff will assess communication, collaboration, and creativity.

  8. Submit a proposal for a new game or improvement to an existing game. Sketch out concepts and game mechanics.

  9. Obtain a letter of recommendation from a coach, mentor, or community leader speaking to your character and readiness for our program.

  10. Schedule an interview with parents and student to assess family fit and student motivation for our immersive program.

The admissions process is intentionally rigorous to identify students ready for the high expectations and demanding pace. It's designed to bring out the best in aspiring young gamers ready to put in the work to achieve success in gaming and life. We look for commitment, passion, and untapped potential.
